Defending a Totalitarian Colonial Rule, Apartheid Terror & Supremacy: The Western Problem
Why All Minorities Should be Scared to Death to Live Under Biden and Colonial European Leaders
“What Do You Think of Western Civilization?” “I Think It Would Be a Good Idea”
Mahatma Gandhi
There is a big elephant in the room: while apartheid and the cruelest possible colonial rule of a far-right government is being executed in front of the world’s eyes, we have large portions of White people who are either in support of Israel’s apartheid terror and confirmed crimes against humanity, or choose to turn a blind eye in silent complicity to keep up the status quo. The imperial narrative, with the parole being given out by the demented ‘healer’ Joe Biden, is that the only nuclear power in the Middle East, Israel, has the right to “defend itself” against the indigenous people of Palestine. A people which in their demographics are to 44% made up of children between 0-14 years. It is a crude imperial narrative which is not including the context of 73 years of oppression, apartheid, and vast inequality of powers while granting that “right for self-defense” and even rewards for the ethnical cleansing of indigenous people, mainly children: Israel receives roughly $3.8 billion every year in military assistance from the United States, and when Joe Biden watched (so far 61) Palestinian children being slaughtered and 58.000 Palestinians being displaced just in this past week, his morals and instincts told him to provide Israel with more “precision” missiles worth $735 million.
Say, why didn’t the USA use that “right for self-defense” when a mob stormed the US Capitol and occupied, vandalized, and debased one of their nation’s most sacred buildings for several hours on January 6, 2021? Why didn’t the USA target them all with high-precision missiles, and after killing them relentlessly moved on to the homes of every single one of the Capitol rioters, in order to bomb out their families and kill their children, or at least dis-root them?
As Patrick Gathara points out, “Colonial occupiers have long claimed a “right” to defend themselves from the resistance of native communities, including by committing mass murder. The history of African colonisation is littered with the corpses and mass graves of those who dared to resist the militarily superior Europeans,” before giving as just one example the “murderous campaign by the British in colonial Kenya following the 1950s Mau Mau peasant uprising, including the establishment of concentration camps for 1.5 million Kikuyu civilians and a brutal system of torture camps that may have claimed the lives of tens, perhaps hundreds, of thousands of those suspected to have pledged themselves to the rebellion.” Other examples of the countless twisted white-supremacist “right to self-defend” narrative are the lynchings and crackdowns by European settlers on Native Americans and rebelling African slaves, the Serbians’ genocide on Bosnians in the middle of Europe in the 1990s which was also labelled as “Serbian self-defense” while the West watched in indifference, or the crackdown of Nelson Mandela who wanted to free South Africa without violence and founded the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL), which was labeled a “terrorist organization” by the apartheid regime, just like Hamas. Mandela was put on trial because of his involvement in “sabotage and violenc” in 1962 and eventually sentenced to life in prison, 26.5 years of which he served. All of this happened with the approval of the American Empire and its colonial European allies. After the apartheid fell? Bono-like figures and even your Grandma babbling pseudo-humanitarian stuff about ‘Mandela Day’ and acting like they have always been on the right side of history and calling for the end of apartheid. This doesn’t happen in an act of self-confrontation or accountability, but simply as adjustment to the new status quo confirmed by their official sides.
Marginalizing events by using vocabulary like “tensions” and “real-estate dispute” in order to describe ethnical cleansing, and granting the far-right Israeli apartheid regime the “right for self-defense” is the preparation for a future narrative, a narrative in which especially Germans have exercised too well regarding their Nazi past: “We all didn’t know what was going on!” – although Adolf Hitler’s obnoxious Mein Kampf, where he openly laid out all his racist, anti-Jewish and anti-humanitarian views AND plans, was a bestseller and the most treasured book in millions of German households well before WW2 and the Holocaust. By 1933, Hitler had made about 1.2 million Reichsmarks from the income of the book (equivalent to about €6 million today) and by 1939 his call for ethnical cleansing on the basis racial supremacy had sold 5.2 million copies. In the digital age, no one should claim to not have known about the Israeli apartheid system with their terrifying war crimes and crimes against humanity.
It is a symptom of great cognitive dissonance to claim to be against far-right leaders like Trump, Orban, Bolsonaro, Le Pen and others, but to exclude far-right extremist Netanyahu, a great ally of the aforementioned individuals, from that list.
It is a symptom of a great cognitive dissonance to claim to fight racism and far-right leaders, and to ignore that the current and past Israeli regimes are not hated but celebrated as heroes by Neo-Nazis world-wide.
It is a symptom of great cognitive dissonance to condemn alleged attacks on journalists and press-freedom committed by the Empire’s declared enemies China, Russia, Turkey… but to justify the biggest attack on press freedom and journalists the modern world has ever seen- Israel’s bombing and destruction of the media tower housing the Associated Press, Al Jazeera and other media outlets on 5/13/21, in order to prevent them of the coverage of the war crimes being committed under the cover of the “right to self-defend,” without giving any evidence on what the alleged threat for the bombing was. (All of this happening while Julian Assange is being tortured and rotting in British prison, let’s not forget.)
It is a symptom of great cognitive dissonance to justify- or to be indifferent- about the deaths of 1.2 million civilian Iraqis and 31.000 Afghans as a result of a never-ending war that the American Empire and its Western allies have waged under the cover of “self-defense”, a war based on fabricated lies about weapons of mass destruction. They have admitted to the lies, but collectively refuse accountability.
It is a symptom of great cognitive dissonance to ignore the tens of thousands of refugees being drowned in the Mediterranean, or being tortured and burned down in Greek concentration camps, or being held in cages on American borders under a collective Western ignorance, while those damned demon dictators in Asia and the Middle East simply won’t do the same and help us produce the pictures and narratives to demonize them further!
It is a symptom of great cognitive dissonance when around 30% of German parents cry and whine over the Covid testing (not to speak of the vaccination) of their children and equal it to “child-abuse” and “torture”, and ferociously demonstrate and fight in courts because of this, but at the same couldn’t care less about the mounting deaths of bombed Palestinian children and images of their ripped corpses.
It is a symptom of great cognitive dissonance to praise the Israeli response to the Corona pandemic and their high-speed vaccination of Israeli citizens, when that fascist state imposes even a pandemic-apartheid due to which barely a Palestinian is vaccinated to this day because of Israel blocking the supply of Covid-19 vaccines to occupied Palestine.
It is a symptom of great cognitive dissonance to disregard that colonialism highly extends into the digital world while you’re posting meaningless selfies. From the physical infrastructure to the monopolies it is nothing else than digital colonialism (a comprehensive read on the topic which is brilliantly tying it to climate change is James Bridle’s New Dark Age– Technology and the End of the Future). The degenerate Donald Trump can indeed be credited for exposing that system, hence for the first time Americans realized the political entanglements and US State Department-improved actions which Google, Facebook & Co have always executed on foreign leaders and countries (for example by helping massacre the Roghinya), but never so openly in their home base. Google Earth to this day displays blurred images of Gaza from 2016 while at the same time providing crystal clear, constantly updated live images of the so-called “secret-capital” of North Korea. Social media giants are currently cracking down on pro-Palestinian accounts and posts, blaming it on “algorithms – we’re so sorry and working on it“. Welcome to the policy of “no accountability” in your own, now completely kafkaesque life.
The kafkaesque reality and cognitive dissonance has long started to show in Western societies which despite their disproportional wealth inhabit the psychologically most troubled and drug-addicted people on the globe. Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and authors like the great James Baldwin tried to warn of the perpetual guilt-machine and its inevitable karma which White people are creating for themselves when- either through active endorsement or ignorance paired with power- they are endorsing the oppressors and are complicit in colonialism and crimes against humanity. X and King were killed, while Baldwin was able to give witness about the depressing “after-time” of the civil rights movement and cracked down hopes for racial equality in the White man’s world. Baldwin recalls visiting the American South, “I felt as though I had wandered into hell”. Not because he was attacked or lynched, but because he saw White people hollowed-out and morally void because of their lies and distortions. „The white southerner had to lie continuously to himself in order to justify this world. Lie that the black people around him were inferior. Lie about what he was doing under cover of the night. Lie that he was Christian,” said Baldwin, concluding with a quote from Dante’s Inferno “I would not have believed that death had undone so many.” But since oppression is not the outcome of racism, but racism the systemic outcome of oppression, the hollowed-out white southerner is everywhere now in the United Zombie Nations of the West, a moral territory made of a “‘tapestry of lies’ which surrounds us”, as Harold Pinter put it in his Nobel Prize acceptance speech.
But Pinter said something even better in his excellent speech: “The crimes of the United States have been systematic, constant, vicious, remorseless, but very few people have actually talked about them. You have to hand it to America. It has exercised a quite clinical manipulation of power worldwide while masquerading as a force for universal good. It’s a brilliant, even witty, highly successful act of hypnosis.” While Pinter was referring to the United States in face of their fabricated “War Against Terror,” his statement also applies to the leading Colonial European forces that are Germany, Belgium, Britain, and France, and those nations’ distorted stream of propaganda about ‘Western values’ or ‘Judeo-Christian values’.
How to confront these lies and the big distortion? Millions of people worldwide, including in Germany, are on the streets now to call for an end of the Israeli apartheid. In German press, especially in Germany’s biggest media group ‘Springer’ (the debased German equivalent to Breitbart and the degenerate Murdoch-style right-wing media empires of this world), a narrative is being spun to declare all support for Palestine and calls for the end of apartheid as “anti-Semitic”, with the propagandistic connotation that this anti-semitism is executed by Muslims. It is a white supremacist propaganda which is dismissing first and utter mostly that Arabs are Semites themselves. It is a white supremacist narrative which is dismissing the many righteous White people taking part in those protests and seeking for a more humanitarian world. It is the truly anti-Jewish propaganda dismissing the many Jewish Israelis which fight against the Zionist apartheid system in their society. But the time has come, and the narrative doesn’t stick anymore, hence it has been so over-used as a weapon and the atrocities are laid out for the world to see for too many times now. But it is more than that- did you know that everybody working for the so-called “free press” of Springer has to sell his soul and sign a “company constitution“- a constitution which only speaks of Europe, Israel, and the USA, as if these 3 entities make the entire world. The press constitution says: “3. We support the transatlantic alliance between the United States of America and Europe and 2. We support the Jewish people and the right of the State of Israel to exist.” A free press and fact-based reporting on the Palestinian genocide under this constitution is obviously and visibly impossible. And while you might think that you are not concerned with all of this, the outcome is all kinds of confused, distorted, and mislead people flooding German streets and the Western discourse in general, screaming “Fake News!” and engaging in conspiracy myths. Who could really blame them, when they sense that the grand narratives have been, and are, fundamentally wrong? It is absolutely not my crowd, but I can still see them as what they are: victims of a bigger, systemic distortion.
Palestinians have been hit with waves of relentless killing sprees of the Israeli military (read ex-soldiers’ damning testimonies on https://www.breakingthesilence.org.il/) for many times, but this time it’s different. This time countless people, politicians and celebrities are hopefully fighting against undeniable injustice and for humanity, at the same time Western supremacist leaders and their vast civilian enablers notice this development in panic, responding with narratives twisting into new, ridiculous levels. History teaches us that every Empire will fall and every apartheid will end, no matter how acrobatically the “court jesters of our political burlesque” (Chris Hedges) stretch to deny to the end-stages of the American Empire and its Colonial allies. Why is this time so different? Maybe it is because the United States and its Colonial Western allies are too visibly isolated in their morals and values, when all of their demonized enemies like Russia or China – ALL – collectively condemn the Israeli terror on Palestinians. Maybe it is the Corona plague, which like every plague exposes the fatalities of systems and societies. Maybe it is because American and English people in particular are tired of being robbed of chances for real systemic change in the hell of surveillance capitalism with the destruction of rare light-figures like Jeremy Corbyn or Bernie Sanders. With Corbyn it was easy to smear him as anti-Semite, because he openly advocated for the indigenous people of Palestine- as outcome the Brits were rewarded with a clownish and crude Tory rule under Boris Johnson. With the Jewish Bernie Sanders the ‘anti-Semite’- trope was harder to use although he too openly oppose Zionism and advocated for the rights of the indigenous Palestinian people. And so, the Democratic presidential nomination was stolen from him with voting irregularities under the involvement of a company called- now fasten your seatbelts- Shadows Inc. And so the great Bernie Sanders, who kicked off the largest and most promising progressive movement next to BLM in the USA, lost to the walking age spot Joe Biden- a man who avoids charisma and eloquence as if it was HIV. You say that election fraud cannot happen in America, a country which is responsible for countless election frauds and unjust coups around the globe and doesn’t allow the same international monitoring of elections like the countries they have military bases in? I’m laughing.
Or maybe it is because of the West’s very own human rights strongholds not feeding the narrative anymore because there is simply no possibility to deny anymore. Human Rights Watch, by far the most credible human rights institution, in their latest report not only officially labeled the Israeli state as what it is – APARTHEID – but their report is far more explicit and damning if you read it in full: it says that Zionism and its idea of ‘exceptionalism’ can under no humanitarian and moral values be endorsed, but must be condemned as utterly racist ideology. Further, it comes to the conclusion that the state of Israel in its current state actually has no right to exist under international law.
The Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem released a damning report in January 2021, titled A regime of Jewish supremacy from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean Sea: This is Apartheid. In an analysis of current events, B’Tselem is accusing Israel of committing war crimes by killing blockaded civilians and destroying infrastructure on a massive scale. “Israel has chosen a two-tiered society. Violence is the inevitable result,” is their commentary on the Palestinian resistance and rockets from Hamas which to 90% get destroyed by Israel’s US-funded Iron Dome.
Amnesty International today condemned “Israel’s shocking disregard for Palestinian lives”, stating that they amount to war crimes. Amnesty’s statement goes into detail: “There is a horrific pattern emerging of Israel launching airstrikes in Gaza targeting residential buildings and family homes – in some cases, entire families were buried beneath the rubble when the buildings they lived in collapsed.” It is a statement that couldn’t be in starker contrast to blood-thirsty Joe Biden’s statement on how he doesn’t believe Israel’s onslaught against the besieged Gaza Strip last week has been a “significant overreaction”. I guess America’s honeymoon with Trump’s successor, a wolf in sheep’s clothing and with a terribly racist legacy, is over. More than that, the honeymoon makes place for great distress since especially minorities and the working-class slaves know that what happens in Palestine in the morning will happen to them in the evening. No good prospects with a president supporting apartheid, the killing of children, and ethnical cleansing.
In 1988, when I was a 8-year-old girl in a German catholic elementary school, we were rehearsing for a Christmas play. Jesus, Mary, Joseph, sheep, lots of other animals… you get it. The part my teacher thought was adequate for the only Turkish Muslim girl in the school was that of the pig. It was the same teacher who asked me regularly if I really don’t wanted to try some pork? It was the same teacher who although I had the most excellent grades among the entire year, advised my parents to send me to a Hauptschule (a school were the worst students go), with the argument that I would be “among my likes there and it would be better for me”. Thank God my parents didn’t listen. But I digress. The evening of the school Christmas play came and 8-year-old Saliha was on stage in her pig costume. I had just one line to say, but somehow twisted it; humiliation and the unconsciousness are a funny thing… the result was that I looked straight at the audience and yelled out: “You are all pigs!”
The room was silent while the eyes of my father filled with pride and joy. My father was not just a lifelong union activist who prevented the shutting down of our town’s paper factory and the destruction of hundreds of workers and their families’ lives after globalist vultures took over, but he dragged little-me to most of those heated union and town hall meetings. I learned from him and in these rooms that fighting and resistance starts with speaking out and is not just a necessity, but a human responsibility, and that change through pressure and strikes, through boycotts, divestments and sanctions, is very possible.
For the more and more isolated oppressors and their enablers I have a different closing. You know who you are- evil and complicity was never easier to identify than it is today when the spark of Palestinian resistance is finally spreading all over the world.
To this day my father says that this visceral sentence yelled out in the moment of my humiliation expresses best what he feels about our unjust and tyrannical societies which spiral down into the abyss and the worst of moral hells while chasing their lunatic fever-dreams of supremacy and modern surveillance capitalism slavery, while simultaneously fucking up the planet and ending future. Millions of written words later, my father will say that it is still the best sequence of words I ever came up with. And I come to think that he is right about that.
You are all pigs.
